Welcome!

The 2009 Carnegie Mellon Force.com Challenge is a new event at Carnegie Mellon from salesforce.com. Students will assemble in teams of 4 to build an application on salesforce.com's force.com platform. The challenge is open to all students in all majors and class standings.


The Challenge in five easy steps:
  1. Learn about the force.com platform, the Challenge, and lots of other great resources at the kick-off event at Carnegie Mellon on January 26, 2009. Keep checking back on this website for more details.
  2. Assemble your team and register yourselves on this website.
  3. Build your application on the force.com platform with help from a salesforce.com mentor.
  4. Present your application to a panel of salesforce.com employees and hiring managers on February 4, 2009. Network with salesforce.com employees, munch on some pizza, and beat the competition! Don't forget to bring some resumes!
  5. Win great prizes!

On behalf of the Salesforce.com Challenge team, I'm proud to announce the winner of the first annual Carnegie Mellon Force.com Challenge!

Team Fullforce wowed us with their app, which included a completely VisualForce-based interface! Now they can build an iPhone version of their app! Congratulations also to Team CP8299 and Team Skywalkers, who took second and third place, respectively. Honorable mention to Teams FloatingOX, Sigma, and GangOfFour.

Thanks so much for helping us make this event such a big success. We hope to see you next year!

Challenge Kick-off

The kick-off event will be held on Monday, January 26 in Porter Hall 222C (part of the new Information Systems wing) from 12-1:30pm.

Come on by to munch on some pizza and learn more about Force.com, the challenge, and helpful resources! Challenge registration on this website will be enabled at the kick-off event.
